Lemlunay, Maasim, Sarangani Province

Take vacations. Go as many places as you can. You can always make money but you can’t always make memories.

I will take you to one of the most wonderful places in Maasim, Sarangani Province. I will take you to Lemlunay. Lemlunay is a T’boli Festival which happens annually in the Philippines specifically in Lake Sebu. The festival highlights the rich culture of T’boli tribe by means of traditional musical instruments and cultural dances, not to mention the horse fight or what they call ethnic sports. According to other sources, during this festival, not only T’boli tribe culture is being celebrated but there is a celebration of the culture of the tribes Ubo, Manobo,Kalagan, Maguindanao and Tasaday tribes. This festive is also a form of thanksgiving for the all the tribes which is held during September 16 -18. Source: http://www.seasite.niu.edu/Tagalog/Cynthia/festivals/lemlunay.htm

However, I won’t take you to Lake Sebu. Lake Sebu is another wonderful place in Mindanao which caters zipline featuring the 7 falls while doing the zipline experience. I will be featuring Lemlunay Resort at Maasim, Sarangani Province. This resort is the home of South Point Divers and is just a few minutes away from General Santos City; estimated time is 45 minutes to 1 hour, depending on your vehicle’s pace.

They offer a lot of things like fully air-conditioned rooms, open cottages, convention hall, camping grounds and conference room. But what made them unique? Well, they have an infinity pool. That is something that I haven’t seen in any of the beaches here in General Santos City. Plus they offer scuba diving lesson and experience. In addition to this water thrilling experience, they also offer snorkelling.

 With my son.

Snorkelling costs about Php 250 for the complete package. However, guides will only be there for you if they don’t have scuba diving lessons or if they are not giving scuba diving guide for the other tourists.

Scuba diving is Php 1500 for about 30 - 40 minutes with the master diver who would accompany you.

Infinity pool will cost you Php 100 each person whether adult or child. You will be given a paper bracelet that will let the rest of the crew know that you already paid for the pool usage. But if you already checked in, in one of their rooms, you won’t be given the bracelet anymore.

The rock formation in diving area is such heaven! It brings you closer to places you could only see on the television, books or computers. The Philippines is such a lucky country for having these wonderful sceneries. Not all countries are blessed with these wonders.

Food is good. Why good? Well, to be honest their food is too costly for an average or good taste but not the best. And believe me, when you have tasted the best, you will find a hard time appreciating the rest. This time, I will be giving 3 out of 5 for food taste and presentation. I don’t want to be biased because I am pregnant when I tasted the food. But I am 4 months pregnant and no longer craving for anything. So I would know good food from best food. But of course, Lemlunay offers different things than that of other resorts. The main reason why you should come here and visit the place is for you to experience underwater encounter with the fishes. The cost of food will range from Php 190 up. That Php 190 is good for one person only and it has only a cup or rice and viand of your choice. Food good for 3 -5 persons is not available. Too bad cause other restaurants in other resorts really give succulent food. Their staff and crew are also rated 3 out of 5. Not so friendly, not so accommodating but could be trained.

But food and customer service won't stop me from enjoying the day. I definitely enjoyed the Easter Sunday because I spent time with my family. And that is the best!

My boys: my husband and my son.

So, if you are ready to have fun underwater, this is the place for you! Have a lovely vacation everyone! Enjoy it with the whole family or friends!

Leisure 74: Nail Care for the Kids

Since today is officially summer time in the Philippines and the kids are no longer in school, I had to make their stay at home worthwhile. So, I came up with Mama Nail Care activity. I cleaned all their nails and had the girls polished with polka nails because they requested for the polka nails.

For Anica's nails, I just used simple polka design which I already made a year ago.

And now for Alexa's nails, she also requested for the polka. But I placed accent so it would look different from her sister. So, here it goes..

This is how both of the nails from left and right fingers look like with the accent.

 Left hand with pink accent.

Right hand with blue accent.

And because Kurt can't use the colored polish, I just cleaned his nails and had his photo taken after crying for not having the colors. hahaha

That's it for today ladies, have fun! Don't forget to check out how I used the polka in the previous year (2013) for nail art tutorial.
