Leisure 15: Trying the Mist Effect

Trying my Mist Effect

HOW TO DO IT:

Very easy.. As easy as 1, 2, 3, 4 DONE!

You will need:
Any polish you would like (mine is bluegreen)
Top Coat
Base Coat
Silver Coat
Cosmetic Sponge (the ones you use for makeup / foundation)

Exciting part: This is unfinished. I will give you the pleasure of finishing up your own misty design.

1. Apply base coat. If none, apply the color of your choice (mine is bluegreen). Let it dry so it won't mix with the silver coat.

2. Dip a part of the cosmetic sponge (if you don't have a new cosmetic sponge, just recycle) on your silver polish and apply it on the tip of your nails. This will create a misty look. Let it dry.

3. When it's dry, apply top coat and remove excess polish around your nails.

4. Done!

However, you may put additional design on these nails like stamping more designs on it or add some rhinestones.

And as for me, I was just trying how to use the sponge for the misty look. Thanks to Abnorm Nail Behavior by Barbara Cash who really inspired me with this.

Thanks everyone!

Leisure 14: Black and White Chinese Characters Inspired

My ginger feet

As always, I'll be teaching you another simple nail art for you ladies to do at home and do with your friends, moms and sisters.

You will need:
Black Polish
White Polish
Top Coat
base Coat
Pointed Brush

How to do it:

1. Apply base coat on your nails (to protect your natural nails), if none, apply the black polish. Let it dry. (Check photo below)

2. Next, using your pointed nail brush and white polish, draw one vertical line and one horizontal line. If possible let these lines intersect each other for a better look. (If you may, add one or two smaller vertical and horizontal lines). (Check photo below).

3. Let it dry. Apply your top coat.  (Check photo below). Then remove excess polish around your nails.

4. Done!

Leisure 13: Look Who's Here -- My Friends!

Look at these pretty faces so happy with their equally lovely nails!!
Left to right: Teacher Jessa, Teacher Shylah and Teacher Loraine
Nail Artist: the one and only me -- joneeslimwitch

Today, my friends decided to drop by our house and make a mess! Kidding! Oh well, they tried to have their nails done.

I will be giving you simple 1, 2, 3, 4 Easy Tutorial!

---

First: Jessa's Nails

You will need:
1 polish; a color of you choice
1 white polish
1 top coat
Base Coat
dotting tool

How to do it:

1. Apply base coat (if you have) to protect your nails. Otherwise, apply the polish of you choice. In this image, we used light pink polish. After that, use the white polish and apply it as a french tip only a bit bigger than the usual french tip.

 2. Let the two colors dry. When all nails are dry, use the dotting tool to make small and big dots. Alternating the colors is the key to make this nail art wonderful. On the top of the nails, pink is the color so use white for the dot. The french tip is white, so use pink for the dots.

3. Let it dry. After that, put the top coat. Remove excess polish around the nails.

4. Done!
This is how it looks like when it's done.

Closer look.

Second: Shylah's Nails

You will need:

Pink Polish (or any color you like for the first coat)
Black Polish
Clear Polish with silver dust
Top Coat
Base Coat
Dotting tool
Nail Brush (Pointed); If none, use a pointed tip ballpen

1. Apply a base coat (if you have) to protect your natural nails. If none, apply the pink polish (or the polish you wish to put).

2. Using your brush and black polish draw two slim leaf-like on the lower portion of the nails. Then using a dotting tool and black polish, add 3 dots below the black line which you have drawn using your brush.

 Two lines using your brush

Busy me paying attention to details

Adding the dots using the dotting tool. If you don't have the dotting tool, use a pointed ball pen.

3. When done with the lines and dots, grab the brush again and place a line using your polish with silver dust in the middle of the black lines. Put your top coat. Remove excess polish around the nails.

Skywalk Extreme Adventure (Crown Regency Cebu, Philippines)

That's me doing the Skywalk Extreme Adventure at Crown Regency Hotel on the 37th floor.

Our last stop in Cebu is the Skywalk Extreme Adventure. I was honestly willing to do this but at the back of my mind, I was so damn scared because I'm scared of heights. The only problem was all of my friends were doing it and the fee already includes dinner at Crown Regency Hotel. If I won't grab the opportunity, I'll die in hunger. I mean... I love food and dinner at Crown Regency Hotel is once in a lifetime experience. It's quite expensive if you will try the food alone.

Crown Regency Hotel

The main building of this hotel comprises of 38 floors. It is considered as one of the tallest buildings in the country. It is the tallest building in Cebu and outside Metro Manila.

And in this hotel lies the scary but very adventurous Sky Experience Adventures like Edge Coaster, Skywalk Extreme, Cliff Hanger and Sky Lift.

This picture states that there's no turning back.. We're all in for SKYWALK EXTREME...

With my friend Teacher Leah. She's so calm and that look on my face represents "more hysterical moments later"..

And I survived! Got my certificate!!!
